Vote yes on measure X.

Protect emergency services you can count on.

SUPPORTED BY OUR FIREFIGHTERS AND SHERIFFS

We all know that in an emergency, every second counts.

Last year, 85% of all calls to the City of Loma Linda Fire Department were related to life-threatening medical emergencies.

This measure will help ensure that the City of Loma Linda has the needed firefighters and paramedics and lifesaving equipment needed to respond these emergencies as Loma Linda continues to grow.

With an increase in wildfires, floods and other extreme weather events across the country, it is more important than ever that our first responders have what they need to act quickly and save lives.

Measure X provide critical funding for the city’s new fire station, providing critical coverage for Loma Linda’s growing population and helping ensure residents receive fast, reliable emergency response when it matters most.

“I’m supporting Measure X because our community has put this off for years.

It’s essential to act now to maintain the services we rely on and avoid more costly problems down the road”

LOMA LINDA MAYOR PHIL DUPPER

  • New Fire Station to Maintain Fast Response Times

Equipping new Fire Station to Maintain Fast Response Times

To better accommodate our City’s growing population, a new fire station is close to completion.

The City does not have the funds to equip and staff this station. This measure will ensure funding so that local firefighters can respond to life-threatening emergencies.

  • Maintaining Loma Linda's Unique Quality of life

Many of us choose to live in Loma Linda because of its scenic views, natural areas, small-town character, high quality of life, and because residents tend to live longer than in most other places.

Passing this measure is an investment in maintaining City services and infrastructure, such as public safety, roads, parks, and open space, so that our community continues to be a great place to live and raise a family.

Keeping residents safe with regular patrols

During certain times of the day, there are no more than two sheriff deputies patrolling our City, which makes up 25,000 residents during the evening and a population of more than 60,000 during the day.

This measure would help add and retain more deputies to increase the number of patrols and keep neighborhoods and residents safe.

  • Maintaining Local Accountability

    Maintaining Local Accountability

This measure includes tough accountability provisions such as public disclosure of all spending and annual independent financial audits. These fiscal safeguards will ensure that funds from this measure will be used efficiently, effectively, and as promised.

All funds raised by this measure are legally required to be spent in Loma Linda.
